Amber

Group Programme for women experiencing domestic abuse

Starting in mid-April Amber will be running the Hope to Recovery Programme in Carlow for women who have/are experiencing domestic abuse.

The Hope to Recovery Programme helps participants develop an understanding of the tactics of domestic abuse and coercive control and the impact of abuse on victim/survivors. It is designed for women who have/are experiencing domestic abuse focusing on understanding their experiences and how they cope. This is a 6 week programme of one-hour sessions.

My number 085-8623627 or my colleague, Katie’s, number 085-8533872 can be given to any women who is interested attending the groups. She can contact the service herself or once consent is given we can contact her, once it is safe to do so. When we speak with the woman we will decide with her which programme is best suited to her situation as each programme is designed for women at different stages of their journey. She will then be given all the information about location and times of the group programmes.

Participate in and support public consultation on Young Ireland

The Child Rights Policy Unit is undertaking a public consultation to inform the review and ongoing development of Young Ireland, the National Policy Framework for Children and Young People. We are asking organisations and their networks to share their views and help inform the continued development of the Young Ireland National Policy Framework.

The survey link is open until Monday 30th March and can be found here https://www.gov.ie/en/department-of-children-disability-and-equality/campaigns/young-ireland/.

The survey is hosted on the Young Ireland website and will be promoted on social media and further distributed to relevant stakeholders through the Young Ireland Advisory Council. The survey will take approximately thirty minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.

If you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at youngireland@dcde.gov.ie.
